It is quite brave of Suunto replacing the Gekko, it has been the best selling entry level dive computer in the UK since we can remember. So when heard the news we were slightly concerned that this might be just another dive supplier letting all the fame go to their head and over-engineering what is already a great product.
So we breathed a huge sigh of relief when we found out that the only real difference (other than the groovy name - Zoop is short for Zooplankton - the stuff Whalesharks eat ) between the Gekko and the Zoop is a backlight and the ability to download your dive data to a PC via a Suunto PC download cable - the two most lacking features on the Suunto Gekko - so bring it on we say !

The Suunto Zoop is due at the end of March - but taking orders now- with every Suunto Zoop ordered before the end of February we will give you the download cable for £40 - Just call the shop to place your order. For more details on the Zoop - click here ...
